A Scary Miss

Dear Collective Community,

This week, let's sit with a thought that might feel uncomfortable at first:
Nothing is scarier than actively avoiding your full potential.

We all know what it's like to miss the mark. To go after something big, and fall short. Maybe it didn’t feel as fulfilling as you hoped. Maybe the win felt smaller than the risk you took. But that’s not the thing that keeps most people up at night.

No—the deeper fear is this: knowing, deep down, what you're meant to do… and still refusing to step toward it. That moment when you feel the call, but you silence it. You know the move to make. You know the conversation to have. You know the challenge to face. And yet, you hesitate. You scroll. You busy yourself. You avoid.

We’ve all done it. Myself included.
And that’s why this week’s intention matters. Because every time we avoid that call, we chip away at our own potential.

But here’s the part that saves us:
A missed chance isn’t always the end.
That choice you skipped? That risk you backed away from?
It might come back around or better yet… go towards it. It might give you another shot to live out that "what if."

And when it does, you’ll be a little stronger. A little braver. A little more ready to face it.

So this week, I want you to reflect:

  • Is there something you’ve been called to do, but you’ve been avoiding?

  • Is there a conversation, a project, a change… that deep down, you know is yours to face?

  • Can you take one step toward it this week? Even a small one?

Because the truth is: the fear doesn’t come from trying and missing. The fear comes from knowing you’re meant for more, and letting it sit inside you, untouched.

The good news? You don’t have to get it all right today.
You just have to stop avoiding, and start stepping.

And if you’ve missed the mark before? That’s okay.
Sometimes life offers you a restart. A second chance to answer that call.
Let’s not waste it.

With strength & discipline,
Charlie
