Do It Because You Are Scared

Dear Collective Community,

This week's intention is: "Do it even though you're scared. If anything, do it especially because you're scared."

Fear has a way of keeping us stuck. It tells us to stay comfortable, avoid risk, and protect ourselves from failure or embarrassment. But the truth is, some of our greatest moments come when we push through fear and do it anyway.

Fear isn’t always a signal to stop — sometimes, it’s a sign you’re heading toward something meaningful.

  • Starting a conversation with someone new can feel intimidating — but what if that person becomes a close friend?

  • Asking for help can feel vulnerable — but what if it leads to the breakthrough you’ve been waiting for?

  • Trying something unfamiliar — a new class, a new hobby, a new challenge — can feel overwhelming, but what if you discover a strength you didn’t know you had?

Courage isn’t about having no fear. Courage is action in the presence of fear. It's proof that you trust yourself enough to take the next step, even when you’re unsure of what happens next.

This week, I encourage you to do the thing you’ve been avoiding — the one that scares you just enough to make your heart beat faster. That’s where growth happens.

Be brave. Be bold. And remember, you’re never facing those fears alone.

With strength & courage,
Charlie
