- 1 box (16 oz) Elbow Macaroni
- 1 pkg (8 oz) Surimi (Imitation Crab), flaked/chopped
- 1 cup Crushed Rye Chips
- 1/4 cup Butter Substitute
- 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 3 cups Skim Milk or alternative
- 1/2 cup Whipped Cottage Cheese
- 2 1/2 cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar (Total amount needed)
- Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, and OLD BAY Seasoning (To Taste)
Instructions (Easy Step-by-Step)
- Cook Pasta: Boil macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Make Roux: Melt 1/4 cup butter substitute. Whisk in 1/4 cup flour for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in 3 cups skim milk until the sauce thickens slightly.
