Turkey Burger & Sweet Potato Fries

Calories 500/Protein 30g/Carbs 50g/Fat 20g per serving

Ingredients:

  • For the Burger:

    • 4 oz lean ground turkey

    • 1/2 tsp unflavored gelatin (bloomed in 1 tbsp cold water)

    • 1/8 tsp baking soda

    • 1 tbsp whole wheat breadcrumbs

    • 1 tsp I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Light

    • 1 tsp soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce

    • 1 tsp onion powder

    • 1 tsp garlic powder

    • 1 tsp chicken seasoning, ranch powder, Old Bay seasoning, Tony Chachere’s whatever!

    • Salt and pepper to taste

    • Whole-grain burger bun or lettuce wrap

    • Optional: Lettuce, tomato, onion for toppings

  • For the Baked Sweet Potato Fries:

    • 1 medium sweet potato, cut into fries about 150g

    • 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking spray

    • 1 teaspoon paprika

    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

    • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • For the Burger:

    • Season the ground beef or turkey with salt and pepper.

    • Shape into a patty

    • Grill or cook the patty on a non-stick skillet until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

    • Place the cooked patty on a whole-grain burger bun or lettuce wrap.

    • Add your preferred toppings like lettuce, tomato, and onion.

  • For the Baked Sweet Potato Fries:

    • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

    • Prepare the Sweet Potato Fries:

      • In a bowl, toss sweet potato fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

      • Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet.

      • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
